Honey-Glazed Goodness

Sticky, sweet and tasty, we just can’t stop eating this nutty snack once we begin. A great nibble for a cocktail party, these honey-glazed nuts are infused with the full flavor of Chinese five-spice to add a surprising twist to the nut mixture.

  • 1 cup cooking oil for deep-frying
  • 2 cups walnut halves
  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 2 egg roll wrappers , cut into 1/2-inch squares
  • 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsps honey
  • 1/4 tsps Chinese five-spice
  • 2 tsps toasted sesame seeds

Heat oil in wok to 300 degrees F over medium heat. Deep-fried walnuts and cashews and cook, turning frequently, until golden brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
